Real Ale Full Moon Pale Rye offers interesting flavor and complexity
Craft brewing is a growing and thriving business in the state of Texas and one small but expanding brewery that has also enjoyed critical acclaim is Real Ale Brewing of Blanco, Texas. The Great American Beer festival has awarded this company with a medal in 2010 and consumers have helped drive sales higher- a direct result of the quality beer produced by this business. One fine example is Real Ale Full Moon Pale Rye Ale , an American pale ale.

Real Ale Full Moon Pale Rye Ale pours to a tan/orange/red color with an aroma that combines bread, spice, and citrus notes. The beer offers a memorable combination of flavors that begins with the taste of bread- accented barley malt and rye, followed by flavors of citrus, spice, biscuits, and more spice. The body of the beer is medium and somewhat cloudy. Real Ale makes this product using malted barley and rye, then finishes it off with Willamette and Cascade hops.
Real Ale Full Moon Pale Rye Ale is a complex brew with a nice array of flavors present. The flavor consumers will notice most is the rye and this characteristic certainly defines this beer and distinguishes it from the other beer on the store shelves. However, this isn’t the only flavor present. Many will also appreciate the bready flavors of this beer and, combined with the rye, you get a taste combination that certainly qualifies as liquid bread. The beer tastes just like a liquefied combination of rye bread and barley cereal. The aftertaste of bread lingers and is very pleasant.
Real Ale Full Moon Pale Rye Ale is not the type of beer made for any occasion and it won’t necessarily match up with any type of food. It also isn’t the most thirst- quenching or the most refreshing beer. Instead, it is the type of beer best served by itself, so that beer lovers can sip, savor, and enjoy the complex flavors and other intersting attributes of this fine malt beverage from one of Texas’ many respectable craft brewing operations. It is one of the better Texas brews and one I will certainly purchase again.
