Last year was a throwaway for entertainment and travel in most every form, thanks to that pesky illness known as COVID-19. But life is gradually returning to normal and one event that is back on schedule is the Craft Beer Music & Crab Festival in Cape May, New Jersey, scheduled for Saturday, August 14 from 10am to 6pm.
Festival Fare
This event is one of the most anticipated in the Cape May area. It is set to take place on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St. It’s a family friendly festival that features outstanding seafood, pulled pork, wine, booze, and craft beer.
Whether your preference is steamed crabs, hot dogs, or pulled pork sandwiches, the Craft Beer Music & Crab Festival has the food you crave. Some of the specific vendors scheduled for an appearance include Empanada Mama, House of Cupcakes, Mermaid Mutineer, Matt’s Barbecue, Crespella, Bake ‘n Bacon, and so much more.
What About the Brew?
Craft beer is a major part of this festival. Among the craft breweries in attendance, one can find beer from Cape May Brewing, MudHen Brewing, Slack Tide Brewing, and Gusto Brewing. If you want to sample other adult beverages, head over to Tito’s Handmade Vodka Stand. There will be wine available, too, for those who prefer the fruit of the vine as their booze of choice.
Live Entertainment
No festival is complete without live entertainment and the Craft Beer Music & Crab Festival is ready to satisfy with performances from the Honeyhawks, Andy reeves, The Geno White Trip, BlueOx, and Jake Tavill. And kids will love the acrobatics performed by Mystery Circus Arts along with the high- altitude greetings from Mackie the stilt walker who is ready to great guest from ahigh.
What do I Pay?
Admission to the event is free. You only need to pay for the food and drink you choose to purchase. There is free parking off site in select locations plus free trolley services to and from the event. The event is pet friendly, too, provided your canine is leashed and can maintain his/her patience at such a large event with so many people.
Let’s Get Ready to Party!
Craft Beer Music & Crab Festival is one of the best beer and entertainment events in New Jersey and it’s great that this event is back after last year’s COVID-19 hiatus. Proceeds from the event benefit Cape May’s Museums, Arts, and Culture outreach program. It’s going to be a great day for fun and entertainment, so make your way to Cape May, New Jersey on Saturday, August 14 and celebrate a touch of normalcy (almost) as the Craft Beer Music & Crab Festival returns for 2021.
