Bud Light is one of America’s best- selling beer products and it ranks as one of several malt beverages that are a safe bet to satisfy or at least not offend attendees at any party. How many times have you gone beer shopping for a party and given in to Bud Light? Most everyone at least finds it acceptable, including those who are not fans of light beer.
Judging Bud Light on its merits, this beer is very light in color- even lighter than most other light beers- and it pours out of the can or bottle very fizzy and lively. The frothy head of white foam, however, doesn’t last very long and the beer quickly loses its head completely while still bubbling away like a glass of sparkling wine. The body is crystal- clear and the aroma of Bud Light is one of very light, sweet grain.

So, how does Bud Light taste? Well, it is about as non- offensive as a beer can get. The taste of corn, rice, and very light grains are about all you notice as you sip, and there is no hop character at all. There isn’t much to say or talk about when you describe the flavor of Bud Light, and this is precisely the reason it makes such a good beer choice when you cannot decide what to purchase and want to make sure not to offend your party guests.

With qualities such as these, Bud Light would seem like a beer unworthy of consumption. However, Bud Light does have a few redeeming qualities. There is no nasty chemical/cardboard flavor like you sometimes find in other light brews and its light qualities offer decent refreshment on a hot day. Bud Light is certainly not going to win any awards for complexity or sophistication in a beer tasting contest, but it does offer enough tolerability to make it a decent selection when light beer is what you crave.
