Beer Advocate is unique in many ways. It is a one of a kind beer magazine. It is “green” made from paper that can be recycled. It is not available anywhere other than the Beer Advocate site. Find out what’s so special about Beer Advocate magazine.
Beer Advocate is a web site I have been visiting for many years and it serves as one of my top resources for beer information. Part of the allure of Beer Advocate is the site’s founders; those outspoken advocates for malt beverages known as Jason and Todd Alstrom. These two guys are lovers of all things beer, and they are also passionate about beer education and respecting the beverage they hold so dear. It was only a matter of time until they ventured into something new and Beer Advocate Magazine is the result of their decision to put their beer knowledge into printed form.
Beer Advocate Magazine is a nice magazine for many reasons and the first thing new subscribers will notice is that Beer Advocate Magazine ranks among the very few publications that are consistent from one issue to the next. Every issue of this monthly publication contains the same 48 pages and the same departments. Not only that, but each department is written on exactly the same pages in each issue. This consistency is unique and it means that your favorite department is always right there, exactly where you remember it from the previous month.
Beer Advocate Magazine isn’t like the typical beer publication or any other publication, for that matter. The articles in Beer Advocate Magazine are written with education in mind and even though entertainment is certainly an important aspect of beer consumption, Beer Advocate Magazine devotes most of its pages to learning about beer, the industry of beer and its many personalities, and respecting beer in general. Yes, there are some entertaining articles in the pages of Beer Advocate Magazine, but they tend to be limited to recipes and travel. Even the travel articles, while certainly inclined toward entertainment, are still educational in nature.
Overall, Beer Advocate Magazine is a nice magazine about the world of beer with articles about the beer industry, growing hops and grains, visiting breweries, and learning more about the world’s greatest beverage. It would be nice if Beer Advocate Magazine was a little longer, but Beer Advocate Magazine is still a very good magazine about beer and each issue reflects the personalities of the publication’s two founders, Jason and Todd Alstrom. These guys are direct, plain spoken, and to the point, and Beer Advocate Magazine reflects their desire to educate the citizens of the world about fine brew.
