Fulton Brewing, a Minneapolis Minnesota based craft brewery, is expanding its IPA offerings with the introduction of Hop Kingdom, a brand family of IPAs inspired by and made for Minnesotans. This new series of hop- infused brews expands an already stellar lineup of Fulton- brewed IPA, which happens to be the style that helped make the brewery famous.
Minnesota Loves IPA
IPA is still the most popular craft beer style and Fulton Brewing has been brewing this style from the beginning. It was, in fact an IPA, Sweet Child of Vine to be precise, that served as Fulton’s first beer release when it debuted to the public in 2011. Fulton CEO Ryan Petz says the new Hop Kingdom release continues this IPA tradition, one that fellow Minnesota natives would like to see continue indefinitely.
“This collection of IPAs represents that sweet middle in the Venn diagram of Minnesota,” said Petz. “Hop Kingdom was made for people who love Minnesota and love IPAs. In an unofficial poll, it also ranks high with people who love Venn diagrams”, Petz added.
It’s All in the Labels
A quality beer release should sport an equally high- quality package. To achieve something special, Fulton turned to local designer and Marvel comic artist Brent Schoonover. His creative artwork can be seen on the Hop Kingdom labels, with each depicting animals common to Minnesota. If you look closely, you will see that the body of each animal includes designs that look like whole hop cones.
Hop Kingdom Lineup
As for the beers themselves, Hop Kingdom includes three delicious and distinct IPAs. The three beers and associated animal artwork include:
300 IPA– Minnesota’s most acclaimed IPA is featured with a label depicting a stag, majestic and graceful.
Hazy IPA– This is a brand-new beer and it sports a label that features a wolf with its face aimed skyward.
Juicy IPA– A dank and delightful beer, Juicy IPA features a fox as sly and sophisticated as the beer itself.
Enter the Kingdom
These debut Hop Kingdom beers are available in 12-ounce, 12-pack cans and 16-ounce, 4-pack cans throughout Fulton’s distribution footprint. The plan is to add a fourth member to the Hop Kingdom family in September, 2023, along with a variety 12-pack.
We at Great Beer Now have sampled and love every one of these beers! They are definitely worth going out of your way to obtain and we recommend you get to a beverage store near you asap and make a purchase today.
