Budweiser Supports America’s Military Families Through Folds of Honor

“On America’s birthday, drink America’s beer”. This is the advertisement slogan from Anheuser- Busch this summer as it attempts to improve sales of its faltering but still flagship Budweiser brand as part of a summer campaign that combines patriotism, charity, and beer.

Anheuser- Busch has once again teamed up with the Folds of Honor Foundation this summer in an effort to raise money for military families. Anheuser- Busch InBev is Sued for Allegedly Watering Down its Beer

Anheuser- Busch InBev finds itself in some hot water, or shall I say cold water, as of yesterday. The big brewer has been accused of watering down its products, and the allegations have resulted in class action lawsuits filed in several states.

Beer drinkers have often complained about the watery nature of products brewed by Anheuser- Busch InBev, Miller, Coors, and other large breweries, but now the accusations are more than just a casual comment in search of an easy laugh. No End of the World Excitement from Shock Top Midnight Wheat

December 21, 2012 was supposed to be the end of the world, at least according to Mayan prophecy. The prediction wasn’t the first of its kind and it certainly will not be the last, but it did present an excuse to party and thousands across the globe did exactly that. Some breweries even got in on the action and one of the products they created for the occasion is Shock Top End of the World Midnight Wheat.

Beer Style: Spiced Wheat

Calories: 153 per 12 oz. serving

Attention, beer lovers: There is a new beer in town- a beer harboring from the Midwest and ready to spread its influence to Americans nationwide. The beer is Goose Island, recipient of dozens of awards and now available on draught throughout the USA. The company was recently purchased by Anheuser- Busch and it is now sold in many new markets nationwide.

Department of Justice sues Anheuser- Busch InBev to stop takeover of Grupo Modelo

Anheuser- Busch InBev, the world’s largest beer manufacturer, is having some legal problems with its $20.1 billion attempt to take over the third largest beer manufacturer, Grupo Modelo.

The U.S. Justice Department has filed a lawsuit against the beer giant, claiming that its proposed merger with Grupo Modelo would stifle competition in the marketplace. Anheuser- Busch InBev isn’t a company usually associated with craft beer, but the brewing giant realizes the growth of the craft beer industry and it continues to expand in this direction, even if at a glacial pace.

Michelob Ultra Light Cider: New Respect for the Michelob Ultra Name?

Michelob, the premium division of Anheuser- Busch InBev, has a new beverage to pour- one that represents a new venture for the well- known product line. Available across the nation where other Michelob products are sold, this new beverage does contain malt, but it isn’t classified as beer due to its added fruit, specifically apples, in this instance. It is Michelob Ultra Light Cider, the first cider product brewed by Anheuser- Busch InBev in the United States.

World Beer Cup 2012 Winners List

The World Beer Cup is among the most prestigious beer competitions, attracting entrants from across the globe and spanning a wide range of beer styles. The 2012 World Beer Cup competition is now complete and it has turned out to be the largest, most actively participated World Beer Cup yet, with 54 countries, 799 breweries, and 3,921 beers going head- to- head for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals across 95 categories.

Judging is complete and the winners have now been announced for the 2012 World Beer Cup.
