Houston residents know one brewery better than any other. That brewery happens to be St. Arnold Brewery, the craft brewing operation that stands as the oldest of its kind in the state. Saint Arnold has produced a nice range of beer styles over the years and several specialty products. Its Divine Reserve series is its most popular specialty beer; a highly anticipated offering with a different beer winning the rights to be brewed and sold for a short time. Just last year, St. Arnold brewed a Divine Reserve product loved so much, the company decided to add it to the regular rotation. The beer is St. Arnold Endeavour IPA, one of the best products of its style I have ever tried.

St. Arnold Endeavour IPA pours to a tan color with a slight amount of haze. The beer has a fragrant and memorable nose that combines zesty citrus and other fruits with fresh biscuits. The head of foam on this beer is a sight to behold and with such a strong initial impression, you just know the beer in that mug of yours has to be something special.
Once you taste St. Arnold Endeavour IPA, you realize that in spite of the old saying, looks are not necessarily deceiving. This beer tastes even better than its appearance would indicate, with a flavor that is remarkably balanced for a double IPA. The tan liquid tantilizes the taste buds with flavors of pine, bread, toffee, and caramel forming the backbone of the beer. This is met with the wonderful flavors of hops supplied by three varieties: Simcoe, Centennial, and Columbus. Combined, they produce taste sensations such as grapefruit, orange, peach, and pineapple, with no one flavor dominating.
St. Arnold Endeavour IPA is an excellent beer and one I have been enjoying now for many months. It is amazing how great this beer tastes and while most Houstonians have the highest regard and respect for our beloved St. Arnold Brewery, a beer this good proves that even an award winning brewery like St. Arnold can still manage to outdo itself. I enjoy it more and more every time I try it and find it exceptional in every way. In fact, I will even go so far as to declare this product the best beer St. Arnold has ever produced! I know there are those who will argue against my position, but it will be very difficult to convince me otherwise.
St. Arnold Endeavour has only been around for a short time, but it has already received some important crritical recognition. It took home a silver medal at the 2012 World Beer Cup and this is likely only the beginning. Even the novice beer critics are singing the praises of St. Arnold Endeavour Double IPA, as evidenced by its very high rating in beer ratings sites like Beer Advocate and others.
St. Arnold Endeavour IPA is sold only in 22 oz. bomber bottles but anyone who has the chance should go out of their way to sample this amazing beer. The brewers at St. Arnold have once again gone beyond the call of duty with this beer, one of the most balanced double/imperial IPA you will find anywhere and easily the best tasting beer in the St. Arnold lineup.
