A new reality show is coming to the History Channel, and it proves once again what we already knew: Craft beer is on the rise and its influence is spreading to all realms of American culture.
The new television program is Dark Horse Nation and it is situated in- you guessed it- an actual craft brewery. Dark Horse Brewing, a small but growing craft brewery located in Marshall, Michigan, close to Battle Creek in the south central part of the state, is the setting for this new reality television program. The show will follow the brewing staff at Dark Horse and let viewers discover what goes on during a typical day on the job. In addition, Dark Horse Nation will let viewers get to know the members of the Dark Horse Brewing team on a more personal level.
Bill Morse and son Aaron Morse founded Dark Horse Brewing in 1997. It started as a restaurant and later evolved into a brewpub and finally into a full- fledged brewery. The company takes pride in its “work hard, play hard” philosophy and its hard work is evident to those who love craft beer. Its beer products have received high acclaim and the brewery even cracked the top 30 in Ratebeer.com Best Breweries in the World, a ranking that involved more than 13,000 breweries. Obviously, these guys know a thing or two about brewing great beer and now, they will be able to share their expertise, personalities, and who knows what else on this new reality television program.
Dark Horse Brewing sports the motto “Making Bad Ass Beer in Marshall, Michigan.” With an established reputation for quality, Dark Horse Nation could prove itself an equally bad ass television show; educational, entertaining, and informative in ways that go beyond mere kegs of award- winning beer.
Tune in to the History Channel this evening, July 29, 2014 at 10 p.m. EDT (9 p.m. CDT) or set the DVR for the Dark Horse Nation series premiere.
