February 24, 2014 is a big day for the big state of Texas. The already vast and growing sea of craft beer options is about to grow one larger as Colorado’s Odell Brewing begins distribution in the Lone Star State through a partnership with Ben E. Keith Distribution Company.
“I’m thrilled to introduce our beers to the state of Texas,” said Texas state sales manager, Todd Ewing. “The craft beer scene is already great, and I cannot wait to help it to continue to grow.”
Texas is a large state and expanding to such a large area takes a lot of production and planning. Odell is capable and ready to meet the challenge thanks to its recent brewery expansion. Without these additional brewing vessels brewing thousands of extra barrels, there would be almost no way for Odell to meet the demands of so many millions of thirsty Texans.
Odell plans to start with its core lineup of beers, including IPA and 90 Shilling plus seasonal beers such as St. Lupulin and specialty four packs like Myrcenary, as well as its limited release Cellar Series offerings. Odell is planning a full week of launch parties and related events with more than 70 such tastings and promotions scheduled across the state.
Odell is rolling out draft beer first and will start selling six packs and four packs in late March. To find out more about Odell and its launch week plans, visit Odell on the internet at odellbrewing.com/texas or the Odell Brewing Facebook page.
